Product detail
The dual memory auto inflate blood pressure monitor displays your blood pressure and pulse simultaneously. It’s easy to see at a glance whether your blood pressure has improved, as the monitor stores your previous blood pressure readings in its memory, and calculates an average from your previous readings.

The dual memory auto inflate blood pressure monitor can keep track of blood pressure and pulse rate readings for the whole family. It can store a total of 60 individual readings (30 each) for two people in its memory and it has a guest function for other users. Other features of the blood pressure monitor include:

• British Hypertension Society approved
• individual and average readings for two people
• guest mode for readings for other users
• 60 reading memory (30 readings for each of two people)
• large illuminated display (heart rate in 16mm digital characters, pulse rate in 10mm)
• automatic pressurisation with a micropump
• automatic deflation
• AC adapter included
• universal cuff size (18-32cm)
• latex free

The dual memory auto inflate blood pressure monitor includes an Irregular Heartbeat feature. The monitor not only tells you if you have an irregular heartbeat but it also provides an accurate blood pressure reading even when an irregular heartbeat occurs.

The blood pressure monitor comes with a large-print illustrated instruction guide, a quick start card and a four week blood pressure logbook. It measures 4.3" by 5.8" by 2.5" (110mm by 147mm by 64mm) and weighs 10.6 oz. (300g) without batteries. The monitor requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) but it can also be used with the AC Power Adapter supplied. The battery life is approximately six months with one daily measurement.

Health benefits
The dual memory auto inflate blood pressure monitor allows you and your partner, or family, to measure your blood pressure at home. Its large digital display shows clear blood pressure and pulse readings, and it inflates and deflates quickly and easily. If you suffer from an irregular heartbeat the monitor can still give you an accurate blood pressure reading.

The dual memory auto inflate blood pressure monitor can help you monitor the impact of lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet or exercise regime, on your blood pressure. The storage of individual and average readings lets you compare your current readings with previous ones so that you can tell whether your blood pressure is improving over time. The monitor is suitable for:

• two or more people who wish to monitor their blood pressure at home
• people with high blood pressure
• people with low blood pressure
• people who are concerned about their blood pressure
• people who have an irregular heartbeat and wish to monitor their blood pressure

Advice
Please read the product packaging before use, and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Taking your blood pressure
To take an accurate blood pressure reading, you might find the following tips useful:

• relax for five minutes before you start
• unless your doctor tells you otherwise, take a reading using your left arm
• remove any bulky or restricting clothing from your upper arm before you begin
• always place the cuff on your bare arm (not over clothes)
• stay still and quiet with your feet flat on the floor while you take a reading (talking or moving during measurement can increase your reading or cause an error)
• always use the correct size of cuff (a cuff that is too small will result in a higher reading and a cuff that is too large will result in a lower reading)
• monitor your blood pressure in the same manner, at the same time of day, every day (blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day)
• record your blood pressure in a log book or in the device memory as systolic/diastolic pressure (e.g.132/78) along with a record of the date and time and your pulse rate

Once you're ready to begin measuring your blood pressure:

• hold the cuff open with the tube pointing downward
• slide the cuff onto your upper arm
• position the cuff with its tubing over the brachial artery and aligned with small finger
• the lower edge of the cuff should be about 1” from your elbow
• fasten the cuff so it feels snug but not tight (you should be able to fit two fingers between your arm and the cuff)
• position your arm so that the cuff is at heart level
• press the start or power button to start the inflation
• the cuff will deflate automatically once it has taken the measurement
• the display monitor will then show your blood pressure and pulse

If you wish to take a second reading, you should turn off the monitor, remove the cuff, shake your arm to allow your arteries to return to their normal shape and relax for five minutes.
