Product recall

Please read through this policy before purchasing anything from us or before accessing or using our website, as it forms part of the contract between us. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

  1. When a recall begins

    From time to time Bupa or its suppliers may take the decision to recall a product. When this happens, Bupa will issue a product recall notice by various reasonable means, which could include adverts in the media.

  2. Stopping pending orders

    As soon as we hear of a product recall that affects the Bupa Shop, we will suspend all pending orders for the product(s) affected. If at this stage you have paid for your product but not yet received it, we will refund your money.

  3. Returning recalled products to us

    If you have bought a product which is then recalled, please contact the Bupa Shop on 0844 888 0099,or by email on customerservices@bupashop.co.uk

    We will arrange for it to be collected or returned to us at our expense as soon as reasonably possible.

    In extreme cases you may be instructed by Bupa to destroy the product - if we ask you to do this, you must promptly comply with the request, and then confirm to Bupa in writing that you have done so.

  5. Instructions and guidelines

    You must comply with all reasonable instructions and guidelines issued by us or our suppliers regarding product recalls. We also ask that you co-operate with us to ensure that any recall is dealt with promptly and effectively.

    If you do not, we shall have no liability to you in relation to the relevant product to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  6. Refunds and replacements

    In the event of a product recall we will decide whether people who have already bought the product(s) from us should receive a refund or a replacement.

  7. Our liability when a product is recalled

    Bupa will only be liable to refund you your reasonable costs in returning the relevant products to us.

    Bupa will not be liable in contract, statute, tort or otherwise for the products or their except where Bupa cannot exclude its liability under the law.

  8. Bupa's suppliers can enforce this policy against you

    Under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 BUPA's suppliers have the right to enforce this policy against you.
