Health benefits
The stocking aid is an inexpensive device that can help you put on socks or stockings without needing to bend from the waist or the hips. The aid is simple to use and helps you maintain independence while dressing.

Your sock or stocking fits over the plastic gutter and is held in place by two side notches. After slipping your foot into the toe of the garment, put your heel on the ground and pull the gutter up using the tape ends, lifting your heel slightly as you ease the sock or stocking into place over the heel. All you then need to do is point your toes and carry on pulling until the top of the sock or stocking is released.

With a small amount of practice, you can put on socks or stockings without difficulty and without back or joint pain.
