Product detail
This wrist splint with integral thumb support helps in the most extreme cases of wrist and thumb disorders. The unique design of the compressed foam protects the thumb from impact and shock without any uncomfortable binding or stitch seams. Metal supports prevent unwanted stretching and flexing which can cause damage during healing. These props also help relieve pain if you have more complex conditions, such as advanced carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis, and need to immobilise your joints. Available in black, for either the right or left wrist, sizes range from small to extra large. It fastens easily with one hand with “loop lock” straps, both in the main body of the splint and in the thumb section, to give maximum support.

Health benefits
If you suffer a serious wrist or thumb injury, or need post-surgical treatment after the removal of a cast, this splint is an ideal choice. The reinforced structure with metal stays and compressed foam, will ensure your joints are protected from impact or shock whilst they are at their weakest.

Strengthened as a result of being compressed during manufacture, it is robust enough to keep your wrist immobilised, allowing it to heal unimpeded. The semi-rigid thumb section is contoured to provide intimate support while the thumb slowly reassumes its natural position, during healing.

This wrist brace is also good if you suffer a severe strain or sprain of the thumb joint, as its construction means there are no pressure points around the thumb area, making it extremely comfortable. This section stops unnecessary movement that can trigger pain and discomfort, and is impact absorbing, preventing further damage.

If you are in the advanced stages of carpal tunnel syndrome and experience pain and numbness on a daily basis, wearing a splint with this degree of support will help control pain and discomfort.

Similarly, arthritis responds well to the use of splints, and you should notice a decrease in the level of pain, as well as knowing that your joints are being protected against further damage.
